From Sit-ins to Hashtags The Evolution of Civil Rights
[Pre-Purchase Tickets] The Civil Rights Movement in the United States ignited a flame that was felt globally during the Protected content . Dozens of activists, such as Coretta Scott King and Ambassador Andrew Young, fought and ultimately shaped the culture of every American, laying the foundation for a global shift in politics, human rights, and economic development. The birthplace of the movement was Atlanta, Georgia, a small town at the time with a burning desire to change the landscape of the South.
This February, in honor of Black History month, come listen to Taos Wynn, Founder and President of Millennial Civil Rights, and James Woodall, President of the Georgia NAACP as they discuss what has changed since the iconic civil rights movement, the human rights challenges in the world today, and what we as individuals can do to ensure equity in the World.
