Heritage Grains + Sourdough Breads Workshop w/ TX Wine Tasting

This intensive hands-on sourdough breads workshop will be led by the fabulous Sandeep Gyawali of Miche Bread and is intended for beginner to intermediate home bakers. Each participant will make 2 very different types of bread from start to finish. We will use a selection of organic heritage grains milled at Barton Springs Mill to make a custom multigrain boule as well as a 100% rye pan loaf. The breads will be baked in a commercial bread oven, and we will also demonstrate ways to acheive the same quality from a home oven. Everyone will take away 2 loaves of bread, a dough to bake at home the next day, and a sourdough culture. Sandeep will also discuss some of the advanced multistage techniques he uses to make his breads extra flavorful.
