Let's cook Syrian - Three Courses Made in Heaven . . . :-)
Aicha - I would like to draw your kind attention that Syrian people are proud of their cuisine.
Syrian food isn’t to satisfy hunger, it's an artful act, which reflects the exotic colors of warm Syrian culture. A typical Syrian meal starts with Mezze (appetizers) which could/will include #1 - hummus (chick pea dip), #2 - Baba Ganoush & #3 - Moutabel (eggplant and yoghurt dip) – often/here freshly made and delicious.
So it is my great pleasure to have Lamitta as our instructor for cooking Syrian Food.
Rough estimate says, it takes around an hour (not only 7 seconds) to cook three simple dishes as traditional Mezze.
We will still have another hour+ to enjoy our food & stories.
The three courses of heaven will include:
chick peas, garlic, lemon, salt, kammun (cumin), pepper, tahini, Olive Oil, parsley, pita bread, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, Arabic sumac.
Eggplant, tomato, green & red veg. peppers, onion, pomegranate, extra-virgin olive oil, lemon juice, Tahini, pomegranate molasses (Concentrated sauce), garlic, parsley, mint, salt, kammun (cumin), pepper, sumac, walnuts, coriander,
Eggplant, olive oil, yoghurt, mayonnaise (optional), tahini, garlic, lemon juice, kammun (cumin), parsley, coarse salt, sumac, pepper, green chili pepper, walnuts
