The area is nicknamed "the inland Ha Long Bay."

Ancient capital of Hoa Lư, witnessed the crowd of King Dinh Tien Hoang ( Protected content ), a hero who settled Twelve Warlords. Dinh Bo Linh was from Hoa Lu village. When he was a boy, he often used reed wool to hold field maneuver with other shepherds and practiced martial arts. Now King Dinh Tien Hoang Square is being built in the city in memorial of him, becoming a stunning tourist attraction.

Tam Cốc-Bích Động is a popular tourist destination in north Vietnam and part of the Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex UNESCO World Heritage site. Tam Cốc, literally "three caves", consists of three natural caves — Hang Cả, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba on the Ngô Đồng River.

Dancing cave is one of the most beautiful place to view in Ninh Binh. traveller can see the city far from the standing in front of, Tam Coc in back and the limestone mountain along to the south of Vietnam.
