Jeunes Étoiles Live: Pallavi Mahidhara|Gstaad Digital Festival
For chamber music lovers: Pallavi Mahidhara (piano) plays Debussy, Schumann and Brahms. 7.30pm CET, 12 August live from Rougemont church.
[General comment: if you do not like this type of music - just do not subscribe to the event rather than putting a low rate to it because you don't like this type of music. It's not the right way how it works]
The American pianist Pallavi Mahidhara studied at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, before joining the Escuola Superior de Música Reina Sofia in Madrid.
Pallavi Mahidhara is no longer a stranger to the Gstaad audience: Last year she was part of the Gstaad Piano Academy and studied with Sir András Schiff in order to find the perfect interpretation of Brahms' Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel. Impressed by her performance, Schiff selected her for his "Building Bridges" program.
Pallavi Mahidhara will perform:
- Claude Debussy's Suite bergamasque,
- Clara Schumann's Variations on a Theme by Robert Schumann, Op. 20 and
- Johannes Brahms' Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, Op. 24.
