[General comment: if you do not like this type of music - just do not subscribe to the event rather than putting a low rate to it because you don't like this type of music. It's not the right way how it works]
Julia Hagen counts amongst the most promising cellists of her generation. Not only has she won a number of prestigious competitions. Last year her first CD was released, featuring the cello sonatas as well as songs by Brahms arranged for cello solo. The Protected content season also marked her debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Tonhalle Zürich, and at the Barbican Centre. She plays an instrument built by Francesco Ruggieri in Protected content .
Accompanied by Aaron Pilsan on the piano, she will play:
- Felix Mendelssohn's Cello Sonata No. 1 in B-flat Major, Op. 4,
- Claude Debussy's Sonata for cello and piano and
- César Franck's Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano (arrangement for cello)
