WHAT IS ALL ABOUT
August Meteor Shower
The Perseids are one of the brighter meteor showers of the year. They occur every year between July 17 and August 24 and tend to peak around August Protected content .
Made of tiny space debris from the comet Swift-Tuttle, the Perseids are named after the constellation Perseus. This is because the direction, or radiant, from which the shower seems to come in the sky lies in the same direction as Perseus. The Perseids are widely sought after by astronomers and stargazers because most years at its peak, one can see 60 to Protected content in an hour from a dark place.
WHAT WE WILL DO
We will drive to Montserrat and find a quiet place hopefully close to the Abbey and settle down. Have a drink and some food while waiting for the shower to start.
WHAT TO BRING
drinks, some food and snacks
Headlamp and a plaid
Petrol and any highway fees to share.
Depending on how many people It can vary from 10 to 15€ each.
I have 2 seats available in my car, so we need another car to reach the attendee limit.
