Collserola Night Walk & Asteroid Gazing in Fabra Observatory
Let's welcome the spring with a special experience: watching the stars from the best observatory in Barcelona in a privileged location and walking at night with panoramic views of the city :)
We will meet in Protected content to take the Funicular up to Vallvidrera, where to start the walk at around 20.15 until Fabra Observatory. This is a 25 minute long soft uphill walk with panoramic views over the city. Then at 21h starts the visit of the Observatory and the observation of the stars, altogether until 22.00h. The visit is in Spanish.
Once the stargazing is finished we will walk down (already at night) to Passeig de les Aigues to take the Funicular in the intermediate station, and by funnicular down to the meeting point in Peu del Funicular. This night walk -mostly downhill and flat- should not take longer than 1.30h. Passeig de les Aigues is a flat road with panoramic views over the city, usually visited by people who go jogging, biking or just promenading.
It is very convenient that you BRING A LIGHT, ideally a headlight, although it is not necessary that each one of us has his/her own. I SUGGEST YOU BRING SOMETHING TO EAT BEFORE STARTING THE WALK OR HAVE EATEN BEFORE COMING. WE MAY HAVE UP TO 25 MINUTES TO EAT IN VALLVIDRERA SUPERIOR, WHERE THERE IS A GOOD VIEWPOINT OVER THE CITY AND 2 SMALL CAFETERIAS. THERE WILL BE NO CHANCE TO FIND A PLACE TO EAT UNTIL WE GET BACK TO THE CITY AROUND 23h.
THERE ARE 2 WAYS OF BOOKING: Protected content
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO BUY THE TICKET RIGHT IN THE OBSERVATORY
