Difficult Ridge Hike from Geitau - Aiplspitz - Spitzingsattel

This is a gorgeous one-way ridge hike that we'll do starting in Geitau - Aiplspitz - Jägerkamp and finish in the Spitzingsattel.

We'll get gorgeous views for a good part of the hike and a two-peak day.

Note: the last 30 minutes to reach the Aiplspitz are difficult and are a scramble up rocks (not a hike) with a short section that involves ropes. This is NOT for beginners and NOT for anyone who is afraid of heights. You must be sure-footed to participate in this activity.

We'll take the train to Geitau (1:13 hours) and then from the Sptizingsattel the bus to Fischhausen-Neuhaus and from there, the train back to Munich (1:23 hours)

Hiking Time: ~ 5 hours (plus a lunch stop)
Highest Point: Aiplspitz ( Protected content )

We'll stop for a snack on the top of either the Aiplspitz or Jägerkamp (bring your own snacks), then a late lunch at the Schönfeldhütte which is near the end of the hike. Please bring enough food and water with you.

Requirements:
- decent level of physical fitness
-previous hiking experience
- hiking boots (not running shoes)
-hiking poles (optional)
-snacks/water

Cost:
-money for the BOB (~€ Protected content , plus €6 for the bus from the Spitzingsattel to the train station, and money for lunch/snack at the Schönfeldhütte
