Learn Tango With Susana Collin - Stay for Mingle
With more than 30 years of professional dance experience, Susana Collin began
her dance training at the age of 5 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in Classical Ballet,
Argentine Folklore and Flamenco. Her parents, both musical artists, encouraged
and guided her in her young years and helped her continue her dance studies upon
moving to the U.S., where she was featured in various Latin American dance
troupes. At the age of 16, along with her father, they formed a dance company,
Argentina Protected content , to promote and share their Argentine culture in Houston. She was introduced to the
Argentine Tango by her father, Victor Collin, who was one of the first Tango
instructors in the Houston area and was inspired by the many top maestros he
brought in for workshops.
By Protected content , Susana committed to her new passion in Argentine Tango, attending
workshops throughout the U.S. She returned to Argentina to further her training in
the school of Mora Godoy, as well as with private instruction by many of the top
maestros in the city. Susana has shared the stage with many famous personalities
and groups such as Pablo Ziegler, Carlos Buono, JP Jofre, Libertad Lamarque,
Robert Duvall and our local Houston Symphony.
Susana’s intensive study in multiple dance disciplines gives her greater depth in
body movement and allows her to convey to her students a better understanding of
the fundamentals needed to reach and perfect their Tango technique.
