4 Week Sailing Expedition To Virgin Islands

July 3rd – July 29th, Summer Protected content

Program Description

1 Training Week in St. Thomas Island; 3 Teaching Weeks in US Virgin Islands. All volunteers will be taught the marine science and sailing curriculum of Common Tides. Once comfortable, interns/volunteers will instruct and lead student snorkel groups, teach basic sailing skills and hands-on marine science classes.

Living Description

During the trip, you will be living and learning aboard a 40′ catamaran. During the day, volunteers work directly with the local kids providing first hand insight into their way of life. Volunteers will rotate cooking and traditional deckhand duties during the week. Along with snorkeling with the students and on free time, certified divers will also have the chance to scuba dive in the warm clear waters of the Caribbean. Time will be given to explore the different islands that we visit and nights will generally be yours to enjoy.

Program cost is $ Protected content covering room, board, training, and most importantly allows the program to be free for the local students.
