Easter Long Weekend in the Gower Peninsula, South Wales - Hiking
You will be exploring all the best parts of the Gower Peninsula over the four days of the long weekend. The Gower Peninsula in south Wales was the first part of the UK to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Protected content . It is famous for its spectacular coastline, bays and sandy beaches.
The plan for the weekend.
Good Friday: Protected content After picnic lunch, start the first hike of 11 miles Protected content which goes along the Wales Coast Path heading east to Pwll Du Head, Pwll Du Bay, Brandy Cove and Caswell Bay.
Saturday: The hike is 17 miles Protected content and the longest of the weekend. Starts and finishes in Penmaen.
Sunday: The hike is 13 miles Protected content and starts and finishes in Rhossili.
Easter Monday: The final hike of the long weekend starts and finishes in Llanmadoc which is in the north western corner of the Gower Peninsula. The route is 10 miles Protected content .
Thi is at the Gower Golf Club which is nestled amid rolling hills on the outskirts of Gowerton
Once a successful dairy farm, Gower Golf Club has been completely renovated and extended to provide an 18-hole golf course with 4-star accommodation set in two barn conversions. There are 11 ensuite rooms which can be either twins or doubles. I have booked all 11 rooms.
The Gower Golf Club is non-smoking throughout and has free Wi-Fi.
