The North Downs to Dorking – 15 miles (25 km) Challenging.
This is a linear walk which explores the Guildford to Dorking section of North Downs Way. You will enjoy the beautiful countryside views from the North Downs ridge and Denby's vineyard on the outskirts of Dorking. We will visit the beautiful village of Shere on the way.
THIS IS NOT AN EASY WALK AS IT IS LONG, WILL BE FAST PACED AND THERE ARE SOME HILLS. I WILL ALLOW SOME TIME FOR PICTURES.
PLEASE READ ALL IMPORTANT INFO FROM PREVIOUS HIKES.
Return: Trains back to London leave Dorking at 05 and 35 minutes past the hour and arrive in London about one hour later.
GroupSave: When travelling off-peak in groups of 3 or 9 people, each passenger saves 34%. If you would like to form a group, just post a comment on the page and arrange to meet under the clock at London Waterloo by Protected content the latest.
You can either park at Dorking station and then take the Protected content from Dorking Deepedene to Guildford, or park at Guildford station and take the train from Dorking Deepdene back to Guildford at the end of the hike. A single between the two station costs £6.50 and the journey takes about 20 minutes.
Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water. We might go to a pub after the hike so bring some money with you.
I WILL BE MEETING YOU OUTSIDE Protected content .
