A very happy new year to all 'literatis'.

Let's begin the new year as we've always done - with books.

This time, we take a trip back to Protected content the mind of the then late Franz Kafka who tried to depict the totalitarian society using a protagonist - Josef K - and his run-ins with the law.

In a single day, Josef turns 30, gets arrested but is left 'free', begins to slowly grapple with the unending chains that tug at his individuality and leads him to the conclusion of his own death, "Like a dog".

Understanding the symbolism in the book and today's society will give us much to talk about.

Make it a reading year, where minds are open to journey into worlds known and unknown.

Join us on the 26th?
....Oh and there will be steamy coffee.

See you then!
