Come camping this weekend at Tres Cascadas
Hi all, ready for adventure this weekend! Neil McIver, former Consul of this group, has organized this event (around 9 people have signed up (Neils and Internations friends), for us and has invited us! Come camping this weekend. We will meet at our starting location in Sangolqui at 11 AM where we will have a final civilized lunch and then proceed to Tres Cascadas to enjoy the falls, a campfire with dinner and good company before retiring for the night.
We will park at the top of a ravine and hike down to the Rio Pita to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the 3 nearby waterfalls. It’s not a long distance to hike but it is a significant vertical distance, and we are not camping near the parking area.
If you have full camping gear, bring it. If not, there is significant tent space available for the tent-less so check with me for reservations. Tent space does not include sleeping bags or blankets. Ideally you should have a backpack large enough to carry sleeping and food supplies.
Transportation from Quito to Sangolqui can probably be arranged with other attending members. Contact me on my cell or whatsapp for contact information.
The time from our meeting point in Sangolqui to the location is about Protected content .
