Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi will deliver an exclusive set from her home as part of the Royal Albert Home sessions.

In these strange times, closing the Hall’s doors is the best way to look after the world, but we are now opening a (virtual) window for you to experience some of the most talented artists around.

Best known for her protest song Kelmti Horra (My Word is Free), which became an anthem for the Tunisian revolution and the Arab spring, Emel’s singular style is a mix of North African sounds and modern electronic production.

Her first two albums were released in Protected content Protected content to considerable critical acclaim, and she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Protected content . Her third full-length album, Everywhere We Looked Was Burning, released last year, strikes a balance between eloquent song craft, sparse instrumentation, and the voices of the woods, wind, sea, and flames as the Tunisia-born and New York-based singer heralds revolution.

We are thrilled to welcome the “Voice of Tunisian Revolution” for this very special exclusive online session.

Let's share our thoughts about it here!
