The Invisible Power of Music - Die Unsichtbare Macht Der Musik
W. A. Mozart: Divertimento in B-flat Major
Conradin Kreutzer: Septet in E-flat Major
Johannes Brahms: Academic Festival Overture
The Ensemble Fiacorda, consisting of a string quartet, double bass, clarinet, horn and bassoon, offers you a very attractive evening of classical music in the Protected content
Mozart's youthful Divertimento opens the concert with attractive classical lyricism and virtuosity. Conradin Kreutzer wrote his septet shortly after Beethoven's model with the same instruments, and it sounds suspiciously similar at times! The Brahms Academic Festival Overture, originally an orchestral work, brings the concert to a triumphant and joyful close.
This concert series is particularly attractive for families with children (ages 4 to 12): the children will listen to the Mozart up front near the stage and then spend the rest of the concert in a musical workshop in another part of the museum, supervised by experienced pedagogical experts. They know how to engage your children in a creative, interactive session where they explore the music they just heard.
Because of the advantageous ticket prices for people bringing children, adults don't need to find a babysitter and can enjoy the rest of the program knowing that their kids are well taken care of.
These concerts are followed by a traditional apéro where the audience can mingle with the musicians. The children have a special table and can show us what they accomplished in the musical workshop.
