Mount Alumbres - Basic + level hike - New Route
Mount Alumbres - Basic + level hike
The objective of this hike is to aim for the summit of Mount Alumbres at 3,396 MASL. There is a spectacular view of the Zempoala lagoons from the top. The climb is 4.5 km (total 9 km.) with an elevation gain of Protected content ., this is not hard enough to consider it a medium level hike, the difficulty will be similar to the hike we take on at Chico Hidalgo.
Halfway in the route we'll find a scenic lookout, if anyone does not feel like continuing the climb this is a place to take a break and wait for the rest of the group to return from the top. From here there's an amazing view of the lagoons and the mountain.
Adequate footwear - Hiking boots or shoes or at least sneakers.
Please bring with you:
• 1 Lt water
• Waterproof jacket and trousers in case it rains.
• Recommended light fabric shirts
