La Malinche mountain, also known as Matlalcueye or Malintzin, is an inactive volcano (dormant for the last 3,100 years) located in Tlaxcala and Puebla states, in Mexico.

It's an amazing four hour hike through the forest to the summit of the volcano with a height of 14,500 ft. It is a medium level hiking and you will need the following devices for your safety and comfort:

• Helmet
• Hiking boots
• Warm jackets
• Raincoat
• Hiking poles
• Sun glasses
• Sunscreen
• Warm Gloves
• Rain cover for your backpack
• Plenty of water
• Meal and snacks

At the summit with good weather you can appreciate a panoramic view of the three highest mountains in México: Popocatepetl, Pico de Orizaba and Iztaccihuatl.

Please let me know how many cars you will bring and please give the chance to people of the group without car to go with you for a ride (with the proper cooperation quote for Gas and Tolls)

Safety Note: Please be aware of the medium level category. You need to have some physical condition to go up and do the hiking with safety. The degree of the difficulty could be basic, but please get real with your physical condition. It is a volcano that allows you to make a summit with some ease. The distance you walk from the base to the top is only 13.8 kilometers.

There is a good restaurant located at The Malinche Park that we can visit to enjoy a good meal after finishing the hiking.
