Easy hike in CDMX: Visit Los Dinamos and Puerta del Cielo

Ready to Join?

This is a really nice hike and suitable for just about anyone.

Los Dinamos National Park is right at the edge of Mexico City.

First we'll go up to Coconetla (which has a great view of the city and a prehispanic stone carving of Tlaloc).

Then we'll cross the valley to "La Puerta del Cielo" where you can take some nice pictures.

When we're done we'll have some good tacos and micheladas there.

Expenses: everyone is expected to pay for their entrance fees (approx. 50 pesos), meals, and split transportation costs.

What to bring:
- Comfortable shoes: ideally that cover the ankle
- Pants/shorts: no jeans. Nylon, polyester are preferred.
- Top layers: a shirt, a light sweater/ and jacket (layers you can easily take on and off)
- Hat and sunscreen
- 1.5 liters of water, snacks (nuts, fruits, etc), candy or a chocolate bar, and a light lunch.
- 1 backpack
- Bag for garbage
- CASH! small bills and coins make splitting expenses easier.
