26th Annual Artists Warehouse ArtCrawl 2018
The ORIGINAL & HISTORIC Downtown Artists’ Warehouse District will open working art studios and exhibition spaces to the public for the official ARTCRAWL HOUSTON Protected content . The one-day event is
Saturday, November 17, Protected content , from 10 AM to 9 PM.
Since Protected content , the tradition of the artists "open studios" takes place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in the live/work/show spaces of these neighborhood"urban pioneers". The mission of the ARTCRAWL is to assist the public in understanding contemporary art by directly involving the visitors in a dialogue with local artists in the Artist Warehouse District of Downtown Houston.
Over Protected content will participate in Houston’s original cluster of artists’ warehouses:
o Hardy & Nance Studios
o Michael Morton Architects
o David Adickes Sculpture Studio
o The original Silo Studios
o Mother Dog Studios
o Harambee Art Gallery
o JoMar Visions
The landmark LAST CONCERT CAFÉ will accommodate hungry and thirsty ARTCRAWLERS.
MotherDogStudios, the oldest surviving warehouse in Houston, is ARTCRAWL headquarters and will present the exhibition BODY.LANGUAGE, curated by John Runnels.
UHD is providing free parking for the event. I anticipate arrow signs from the parking lot indicating the direction of the art events. We'll start at Hardy & Nance and work our way through as many as we can within close proximity.
