Come with us on a professionally guided tour of the former aristocratic district of Budapest. Learn about the life of the rich and the poor, the aristocrats and their servants in the former ’Magnate Quarter’. Visit the beautiful Festetich palace just behind the National Museum, our own Hungarian version of Downton Abbey.
From Upstairs, Downstairs to Downton Abbey, dramas and films have made us care about the characters below the stairs, just as much as above them. Only one hundred years ago, domestic service was still Hungary's largest employment market.
Our tour starts at Protected content . You will need to pay CASH to our tourguide and for the entry fee to the Festetich palace (total 4,500 HUF).
LUNCH. If you would like to join us for lunch after the event, please set aside an additional Protected content for that too. Time flies when we are having fun! Sorry, we only have room at the table for those, who participate in the cultural event.
