Around Addis daytrips (Addis Ababa)

Dear all,

A colleague and I work in Addis and we really want to visit some places outside Addis. We heard good stories about Mount Wenchie and we like to visit the rift valley as well.

For a weekendtrip, we would like to visit the south (Arba Minch). Are there people that have been there and can give me recommendations about how to get there (jeep, driver, costs) and around? The same question for mount wenchie and the rift valley...
