Changing Lives, Looking for Addis volunteers (Addis Ababa)

Our mission is to turn vulnerable youngsters (often street children and orphans) that are at the same time academically gifted into university graduates. Our carefully selected students are being schooled at one of the leading private high schools in Addis and they live in our own academy style house.

During our 12 years in operation we have supported over Protected content and created, for example, 11 fully qualified medical doctors and over 30 engineers.

The organisation is managed by two volunteers (currently both European).

We are always looking for Addis-based professional volunteers who would like to support our high school students with regular workshops, seminars or career advice. For example we have had quite a few ex-pat spouses who have given extra classes in their spare time, lawyers who have given presentations to our students about the various legal career options in Ethiopia. We also have some amazing women who help our girls with their self-confidence.
