Employment for Skilled Migrants - seminar 21 Feb (Adelaide)
Are you from overseas and either looking to enter the job market in South Australia, or trying to improve your employability for a next step in your career?
DutchSA invites you to join our forum on Thu 21st at Hilton Adelaide about employment for skilled migrants in SA. This is a must go event for those of you wanting to understand how the job market works in SA.
We noticed that most skilled migrants from all background are either already settled in a job, or have recently arrived in SA. Common factor is, most skilled migrants are educated and qualified in a ‘foreign’ country and bring working experience from other countries and cultures, but are often not hired on their normal level.
At the same time, the general conception is that skilled migrants possess a significant amount of valuable knowledge and expertise which is not fully recognised nor utilised by local organisations. Also, skilled immigrants are known to be motivated to demonstrate their capabilities and keen to make their relocation a success, it is clear that there is room for improvement.
In this forum on the 21st Feb we aim to gain more insight in the challenges and opportunities related to employment for skilled migrants in SA. Four experts will share their views, each from their own perspective (Migration, Employer, Government and Recruitment), and will then join a panel discussion in which everyone can participate. Also a free CV review service will be offered to all participants during the event.
The forum is open all Skilled Migrants and Employers in SA, regardless background, nationality or employment status. Membership of DutchSA is not required.
