Looking to make new friends(girls). (Adelaide)

Hi there,

I am new to Adelaide, living in Christies Beach. Having worked in Shanghai for 5 years prior to moving to Australia, I do miss working a lot, and all the girls at work, but because of my visa, I am not arrowed to work yet. Thus, is there anyone who is in similar situation, wanting to meet new friends and expand social circle? Or can anybody suggest some places to go to meet new friends(girls)? Or even voluntary work, I have actually tried it with a few organizations, because I am not an Australian citizen yet, can not get a police clearance check, so no luck there either. Anyway if you know anyone who needs a hand(preferably, within Christies Beach area), please let me know. I am really eager to get out there and get active.
