new to adelaide (Adelaide)

Hi everyone, we are a family of 5 new to adelaide. 2 adults 3 kids. Does anyone have any advice on finding accommadation ?? Would like to find short stay accommadation for about 2 months, obviously with Christmas it seems there is no room at the inn for us !!!! Also does anyone have any contacts in the construction trade, hubby is a plant operator, 25 years experience, and already has itchy feet to start work !!( we have been here since last sunday) . Loving Adelaide, also if anyone else has just moved over (we came from UK, but hubby and I Irish) would love to make some new friends. Regards, Mary
