Child Friendly Activities (Alexandria)

I am currently living in Alex with my husband, Zach, and two young children. Luke is 4 years old and Maya is 2. We just arrived on the 11th of January, and we will be staying through mid-June while Zach completes his fulbright scholarship at the BA. I am looking for things to do with my two young children during the day. It seems that there aren't many kid friendly places, but I might be wrong. We have been to the beach, San Stefano, and the little daycare area at the BA. Does anyone have any suggestions?
