English speaking contacts in Alex? (Alexandria)

Hello,

My husband and I will be relocating to Alex in September and are interested in any associations/clubs for expats. I noticed that there is a Hash House Harriers group, are they still active? I have searched the web and they doesn't appear to be any Intl women's groups, true? I would also be interested in getting involved with the local community providing english lessons or assistance with sales and market development in the business community. Any contacts or guildance would be greatly appreciated. Also is there a golf/tennis facility?
