Moving to Alexandria

Hello,

Of Turkish origin but raised in the United States. I am thinking of making a move to Alexandria - Cause I desire the sea.

I am currently in Istanbul and the only reason I'm not staying is because the cost of living is too high and I don't want to work only to pay my rent and during the winter, I would like to focus as much time as I can on writing , which is almost impossible at the moment in Istanbul. Don't get me wrong, I love Istanbul, but it's not serving a purpose at the moment and feel I need to move up to a different level within my own life

In any case I have stayed in Cairo for several months, so am familiar with that part and felt quite comfortable.

But I would like to hear from the foreigners in Alexandria - why you are there, the pros and cons.

I am single and 40 and would like to hear on the personal side to this as well.
