Relocation to Algeria (Algiers)

Hello, I am a married American who is considering accepting an assignment in Algiers for the next 3 to 5 years. We have lived in France for the past 9+ years and enjoy traveling and learning new cultures and meeting people. Are there any English speaking or possibly American expats who are living in Algeria or Algiers who could guide me through the in's and out's of making such a move. I anticipate to hear quickly form the corporation concerning the job offer and I need to compile information quickly. I am in communication with the American Embassy as well, but real live expat informaiton would be appreciated.
