Sport in Algiers

Dear All,
I am new in Algiers and wonder what the possibilities are for sport (like probably most of you, I spend too much time in the car, office, flat).
I am particularly internested in a good gym, swimming, possibly football...
If the location is also a social meeting point, even better!
