Migration/ Registration card (Almaty)

Hello.....could someone please help!! I'm due to travel in 2 weeks and was under the impression that if your migration card has two stamps then your automatically registered in the system for up to 90 days. I travelled in May and will be travelling towards the end of the month. Has anyone had any problems if they didn't register within 5 working days? By the way I live and work here in Almaty so I'm not under the tourist visa. I called the KZ embassy and they are pretty certain it's 5 days, and 90 days is false information.

Please help if you can?!
