Re- Almaty move

Hi guy's

I will be considering a move to Almaty with my family and we have one two year old son. Our concerns would be safety and standard of living, i have only recently considered Almaty as a possible location but really have seen little in terms of cost of living. Could anyone please advice on the above as much as possible and maybe what would a two bedroom apartment cost a good area.
I would love to hear from any Irish people living in Almaty.
