Where to go with a 2 year old (Almaty)

We have just arrived in Almaty and would like some suggestions on where I can take a 2 year old with things to do, Does need to be with in walking distance as my partner works during the week.

We have found a few parks around the area. Does anyone know of a swimming pool indoor or out door that we can use that are clean and safe? Or of any toddler groups that meet up regularly that speak English?
