is it worth it to ship furniture to amman? (Amman)

the shipping company just told me that the customs duties to ship my furniture to amman is very expensive:
​- Generally, customs taxes/duties on HHG & P.E is about 55% of CIF value
- Duties/taxes on electronics are also about 55% of the declared value of the goods.

but i know buying furniture there is also very expensive! i.e. buying from ikea due to taxes...

all my household items are used and will be for personal use only. shipping company say they cannot predict how much the customs duty can be. what would be your recommendation? should i ship anyway or should i just buy new things in amman??
