Non-Rich wants to buy a car (Amman)

So I am not one of the wealthy expats...but I spend almost 100JD a month on taxis!! I work all over the place and really need a car....something affordable.....is there such a thing as a used car under Protected content ?? something cheap and old and beat up yet reliable? how much does it cost to lease a car? do i need to be a resident or do i just need a letter from my employer? thanks!
