Work Permit?! (Amman)

Hi Everyone, its nice to finally be apart of this forum!

Im a born Canadian citizen who also holds a Jordanian passport. I married my husband (Iraqi passport) in December in Amman and then we moved to Turkey. The language barrier in Turkey was harder than I expected so we are thinking about packing it all up and moving back to Amman in September.

I've read online that my husband automatically receives some sort of work permit status because he married a Jordanian. Is this true? If it is, what are the steps that I can take to ensure that he gets this work permit when we go back in September.
