Unit description Global is the unit in Atradius dealing with multinationals. Towards our target market audience Global has a focused approach based on partnership, underpinned by continuous improvements in our product and service proposition. It is a challenging place to work and you will be dealing with colleagues worldwide and with Customers with very special needs and from many different cultures. The Asia unit is a commercial unit that focussed its attention on expanding our presence in Asia and Middle East. In many markets, our Asia unit works with partners that form an essential element in the credit insurance solution in place locally. The operations with these partners and the diverse locations are an interesting challenge.

Job Description

As Associate Controller you will join an international team of five members that form a central point within the Global and Asia unit. You will be closely working with the various commercial teams that are based in almost all Atradius offices worldwide and will be supporting the control process to ultimately provide information and recommendations to support the management of the portfolio, the teams and the unit’s management.

The Associate Controller post consists of the following key missions:

T o support the controlling & planning responsibility for Global and Asia in direct relationship with the unit management,
Get responsibilities for the coordination and subsequent implementation of the impacts of the roll out of various control related projects affecting the unit,
Support the team in its efforts to initiate, develop and implement the required planning & reporting tools that enable consistent, efficient and seamless controlling and business planning for all the Global and Asia teams,
Act as a business partner for the commercial teams and find solutions to standard and non-standard control and/or business related issues raised by the teams.

Job Requirements

Analytical, structured, logical and clear thinking,
Advanced user of Excel and/or Business Objects (knowledge on MS Access, Symphony or Hyperion would be a pro),

Unit Financial Control
Location Amsterdam
Unit description The mission of Group Control is to provide timely, accurate and relevant management information, analysis and recommendations in order to facilitate the understanding of current and future business performance, and thereby improve the quality of management decision making. Within Group Control the following tasks can be identified: Management reporting, Budgeting & forecasting, Cost Control and TPCA. One of the objectives of Group Control is to strengthen the business knowledge of the unit and further develop the interaction with the various organisation units.

Job Description:

The reporting team performs the analysis and provision of management information, which includes a.o.:

Support monthly closing process (e.g. participate in Technical Committee (provisions), prepare revenue estimate, quality assurance of monthly figures)
Analysis of Atradius P&L (e.g. pipeline, provisions, KPI’s)
Produce periodic management information (e.g. MMR, monthly reports for shareholders, business review in annual report)
Respond to periodic/ad hoc information request (e.g. management board, organisation units, regulators)
Roll out and support of the CXO management dashboard (management information tool, recently purchased by Atradius).
Represent Group Control in technical provision committee (TC)
Within the reporting team a vacancy exists. In line with the objective mentioned above we are looking for a candidate who can support the team in the above mentioned tasks, but preferably at the same time strengthen the role of group control as business partner for the commercial units. Therefore specific tasks might become part of the job in relation to the commercial unit controllers and in relation to local control processes and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious person, with preferably a minimum of two years experience within the Atradius commercial environment. He/she should feel challenged by working on this level in the organization and be willing to get to know all aspects of control at group level. Working on this level in the company means also having a flexible attitude towards ad hoc requests of senior management and the ability to cope with a complex environment. Strong communication skills are required as often you have to deal with colleagues and managers across hierarchies and country borders.

You need be analytical and a team player and feel comfortable with working in an international team.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

You should have a bachelor/master degree in Business/Economics. Fluency in English is required, verbally and written. A working knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.

The overall remit of the Applied Architecture Role is to

Act as a bridge between the Business Applications and Solutions Centre and the Architecture Group
Support the Analysis processes in BAS with technical expertise of the application
Protect and improve the quality of the application.
Ensure the architectural compliance of all application changes with the Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security Enterprise Architectures
Ensure new application technologies to be used by Atradius fit in the overall Atradius Enterprise Architecture framework.
Ensure 3rd party tool implementations fit in the overall Atradius Enterprise Architecture framework

Extended Job Description

Act as a bridge between the Application Centre and the Architecture Group
Liaise with the Architecture Group and BAS unit
Ensure the quality and completeness of the application landscape documentation (detailed level)
Act as a quality gate of the Impact analysis to ensure the translation of business requirements is fully understood and the solution identified meets the needs of the business

Support the Analysis processes in BAS with technical expertise of the application
Interrogate existing system implementations to gain an understanding of how they work (so as to be able to describe incremental-change solutions) to support the Business analysis phase
Undertake Impact analysis (including a detailed investigation at code-level) where appropriate
Provide 2nd line technical support to Business and ITS on application queries

Protect and improve the quality of the application.
Improve the quality of the deployment of the Atradius architecture
Validate Designs provided by Infosys and compile Designs fit for (business and operational) purpose and meeting architecture demands of Atradius
Identify opportunities for architectural improvement
Initiate ad-hoc reviews of application code to identify potential areas of improvement
Advise analysts, development staff and project managers as required

Ensure the architectural compliance of all application changes with the Application, Data, Infrastructure and Security Enterprise Architectures
Identify demand for architectural decisions within projects
Co-ordinate decision process for BAS with the Architects Group
Define, design and apply processes and procedures for architecture assurance
Ensure quality of design of architectural aspects of applications
Organise architecture reviews for impact, compliance and risk.
Use of the Architecture and Compliance checklist to ensure application quality and compliance
Assure existing and new architectural guidelines are communicated and applied

Ensure new application technologies to be used by Atradius fit in the overall Atradius Enterprise Architecture framework
Co-ordinate the evaluation of new application technologies for the AC with the Architects and Infrastructure
Ensure a standard way for introducing new technologies and methods
Liaise with the Architects and BAS

Ensure 3rd party tool implementations fit in the overall Atradius Enterprise Architecture framework
Ensure that Atradius architectural requirements are used in the evaluation of 3rd party tools.

Key Skills
