BSN ... I'm not sure if I got i right (Amsterdam)

Hello. I have a following questions.

I want to live, and work in Amstedam, and yes I would love to do that as
soon as posible.
It's not totally clear for the so here is my questions:

In order to get the BSN, do i have to register my staying, i mean my
apartment in Amsterdam, my birth certificate, and other documents,
or I can get the number first, find a work and proper place, and do the
registration later.

I have to wait 2 weeks fot the BSN after the appointment in the City Hall
or Dutch Tax Administration right?
But can i already looking for work/take a job in this two weeks time?
