This is a dance and dinner event from you may want to join this Saturday:
Asociacion Española de Professionales en Holanda:
We've teamed up with our colleagues of the British Society of Amsterdam - Britsoc to present you with a cross-cultural event, this time with a very distinct Spanish flavour, consisting of a demonstration and workshop of Sevillanas Dancing, followed by a group of Galician bagpipers and, to wrap up, a great tapas dinner where you can look forward to making some new friends with the Britishers. The event will take place at NH Caransa Hotel, in Amsterdam. Want to know more?
Demonstration and workshop of Sevillanas dancing
The 'Sevillana' is a music and the dance of southern Spain. It has a certain kinship with the 'Flamenco dance', but it is a simpler dance and therefore easier to learn. Do you dare? After the demonstration, the group Spaanse Dans will give a dance workshop where you will have the opportunity to learn the basic movements. The workshop will take place in the NH Caransa hotel, in Rembrandtplein.
Bagpipes, percussion and Galician dance performance
Rosalía de Castro is a dance group formed by 17 people, whose purpose is to maintain, inform people and enjoy the Galician culture. And all this through traditional dances and musical instruments. Galicia, in the northwest of Spain, is currently considered one of the seven countries of the Celtic world together with Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, French Brittany and Isle of Man. Let yourself be captivated by their music!
You will be greeted with a welcome drink (included in the price of the event), upon arrival at the restaurant of NH Caransa hotel, in Rembrandtplein. Then, you will be able to enjoy a delicious tapas dinner in the company of your AEPH's friends and ... your new friends from the Britsoc!
