Production The Plough and the Stars - Sean O'Casey (Amsterdam)

In April, it's a Protected content ago that the Irish Easter Rising took place.

In honor of this event, Mike's Badhuistheater wil stage Sean O'Casey's The Plough and the Stars on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April.

O'Casey, born Protected content Dublin to a poor Protestant family, experienced the vicious 10 years from Protected content 1924. From the Dublin Volunteers who went off to die in the Belgian Mud in the First World War, through the Idealistic and hopeless Easter rising in Protected content , which saw its leaders executed, to the War of Independence, and the creation of the Free State, and into the Irish Civil War.
