Room to rent? (Amsterdam)

Hi,
My niece is planning of studying in Amsterdam and she is looking for a room to rent.
Can anybody share with me some useful tips for her to find a suitable accommodation in Amsterdam?
She start beginning September and any help would be much appreciated.
