Tolerance Trail in Amsterdam for Expats/Global M

Day of Amsterdam History – Sunday, June 6th Protected content

Are you foreigner and living in Amsterdam? Then this is an important message for you!
On Sunday 6th of June The Amsterdam Historical Museum organises The Tolerance Trail.

This is a preview of a tour we are developing together with Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder. The tour leads you through the city centre. As you may know, Amsterdam has a rich history as a city of tolerance. This tour will lead you to places that are connected with religious and sexual freedom. But Amsterdam has also known periods of persecution, the Tolerance Trail will pay attention to this history too.
This is a special event during the Day of Amsterdam History for expats living in Amsterdam.

We may develop tours for families later, but this time it’s adult only.

In an 1,5 hour walk with a group of maximum 15 participants you will discover new places and new stories in Amsterdam, for only € 10,-, including 2 drinks at the closing party of the Day of Amsterdam History at the courtyard of the Amsterdam Historical Museum (4.30 – 7 pm).

The Tolerance Trail is in English and will start at the Amsterdam Historical Museum and ends at the Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder or vice versa.

Addresses:
Amsterdams Historical Museum: Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 357, Amsterdam
Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder: Oudezijds Voorburgwal 40, Amsterdam
