Any experience w/ 1040 filing to the IRS? (Ankara)

Hi.
I need to file the form Protected content the IRS for the last taxable year. I called the Protected content to the IRS and I was told that, I can not e-file since my employer is a foreign co., (because foreign co. does not provide W2s) that, I need to send the filled out form by SNAIL mail to their Austin, TX address.

Has anyone had experience with this? Does IRS send any notices, etc. to a foreign address? I forgot to ask on the phone and calling them is a real hassle -was on the phone literally for 2 hrs.
