Using unlocked iphone in Turkey (Ankara)

Hi friends!

I would love to get any advice regarding using my factory unlocked iphone 4s in Turkey without having it lock on me.

I just arrived 8 days ago, and my tourist visa is valid for 90 days within the next Protected content . I understand that any phone purchased outside of Turkey has 30 days from the date stamped in your passport to get registered. I do not yet have my residence permit but hope to apply for it next week. I plan to be here until mid-December.
