Basic questions: banks and registering (Antwerp)

Hi,

I am new to the forum and will be moving to Antwerp next week. I have a couple of basic questions:

- where do I go to register myself for Belgian residency? I understand that I have to go to the Town Hall, does that mean Grote Markt? I have heard that it is possible to do this process online? Is this true?

- are there any pitfalls that I should be aware of when setting up a bank account? I intend to be transferring the majority of my earnings back to my UK bank account. With that in mind are there any Banks that can be recommended for less expensive charges when performing international transfer?

Apologies for the perhaps tiresome nature of these questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.
