But why is it so important that we walk? Our body is able to cure itself; a broken bone heals, a laceration cures and you recover from a flue. Our emotional system is able to restore as well: While we are sleeping, the brain processes all the impressions from the day, emotions included. While we actively walk we can stimulate our brain to process information around our problems faster and better and can come quickly to a solution.
