Suggestions for towns for family with children (Antwerp)

Hello, we will be moving to Antwerp shortly and are currently looking for an area suitable for a family with young children and a dog. We have looked at rental homes in Brasschaat, Kapellen and Schoten so far. I'm hopeful to be in close proximity to a large park such as the the Gemeentepark in Brasschaat as well as near shops and cafes. I would like to have a reasonably short drive to the international school in Ekeren but also convenient to my husband's office near the intersection of N184 and R10 on the east side of Antwerp. Can anyone tell me about the towns and whether some are better than others and how long it takes to drive between areas? We haven't looked at Schilde yet but I'm wondering if that is too far with traffic. Thank you so much for any assistance.
