Would appreciate any info.. (Asunción)

Hi, I just joined I will be moving to Asuncion this fall (Spring there) my husband is from there...but we have been living in the states...New York and LA...We both lived in Rio de Janeiro and I consider it my second home(after NY)....my husband hasn't lived in Paraguay as an adult, but he always visited as he has lots of cousins in Luque... his father and sisters live in Argentina where he was raised..but he spent most of his life in Rio...We both speak Portuguese, he of course speaks Spanish and I do okay in the language...He also speaks fluent Italian, some French and of course English...I can understand aobut 75% Italian as that is my background...
Anyway I wanted to know the best upscale area to live that you can walk to shops, restuarants etc...I am a New Yorker who doesn't drive...I will be spending my time between Asuncion, Rio, NY and LA....and would love to attend a meetup once I'm there, I'm sure I will have more questions . Thanks,
